Crafting on

Linking up with Nicole today.

This is what I've been up to:

Totoro is done. Ravelry notes here.

I think his leaf is a little too big, though.

I made myself a ghetto drop spindle (yes, that's a roll of ribbon. hush.) because I *really* want to learn to spin but have no money. The problem is that I need someone to show me what I'm supposed to be doing. I've watched a gazillion youtube videos already.

This is the "yarn" I tried to spin first. I didn't "set the twist" and it.. well. It sucks. But there it is.

And the never ending pegs. For those of you waiting on me for orders and swaps, there they are. Burned, mostly painted, but that's about it.

  1. Ooo, I am loving these new pegs! I made a drop spindle. You can use different sizes of the wooden wheels you find in the unfinished wood section ( same as the pegs) in the craft stores. You can get them heavier and lighter, depending what weight you're going for. Did you get my email about the giveaway? :)

  6. I think all your crafts are beautiful mama! You shop is always so well stocked and so very beautiful to browse. I am having such Etsy issues with my shop (tags, titles, SEO, keywords---- all giving me a headache) but you seem to be doing well, it is always such a treat to see fellow online mamas making it work!

    Your crafts are great!

    Blessings,

  7. Eeeek! So much goodness in one post. I don't know where to start - I love it all!! I haven't picked up my drop spindle since I learned how to do it 2 years ago. I need to try again.

  9. Oh my, those peg people are beyond adorable! Followed you here from FrontierDreams. My craftiness led to a mama-made dress for BabySister due in early July. Come see! http://likemamalikedaughter.blogspot.com/2012/03/squirrelys-nutty-brown-owl-dress.html
