Yarn Along

Joining up with Ginny for the Yarn Along. I almost didn't make it today. It's been crazy over here. My body is exhausted but my brain in in overdrive. It won't slow down. I have so many ideas. So much that I want to do. But! All these thoughts and ideas are jumbling together and it's leaving me confused.

At any rate.

I'm working on pockets for Lori. I'm also working on an elephant test knit for Emily. B, the Elf, and I are all reading House of Many Ways by Diana Wynne Jones. It's the third "Howl" book. So far I'm quite enjoying it.

  2. thanks for sharing your experience with your spinning wheel so far, im glad your liking it! Any plans to paint the wheel part? Ive been seing lots of painted ones and they look so cute with a painted wheel and polished frame. Im so excited to get mine, hopefully the next month goes quickly (once ive decided which wheel and ordered it!) How nice that your making some pockets for Lori to take to the children, im sure they will be a much treasured gift. The elephant looks cute!

  4. Melissa, are you a list maker? I have found if I write the things down that are running thru my head it helps me stay a little more focused. I have a habit of getting overwhelmed with life and as I age I am trying to stay a little calmer and not stress so much. :)

  5. I'm finally responding to your comment about plying...I was scared to try it at first but LO AND BEHOLD...it is so much easier than the first ply, AND you get instant gratification seeing it blend together all nicely. Woo hoo to new beginnings!
