Yarn Along

Joining Ginny at Small Things again this week.

Still working on this. I just joined my third ball of yarn to it this evening. I haven't started reading the book yet - I just picked it up from the library. But if you know me, you know I'm anxious! It's the latest in the Pink Carnation series by Lauren Willig.

And this. A reaffirmation as to why we'll never really be a Waldorf family despite the things I try to incorporate:

That would be the Imp, B, and the Beast. All using Android phones to play games.

  1. Oh wow, your knit project looks beautiful! Wish I knew how to do things like that, I'm still stuck doing scarves, lol. And the photo of the boys kinda made me laugh... I try to incorporate Waldorf type toys, nature table and rhythms, but in the end, my kids are addicted to tv and my hubby still doesn't get the whole nature table thing, lol. It's not about being "perfect" I suppose ;)

    1. We're such techno-geeks that it would be impossible to stick to the no-screen-time thing. My kids all know how to use computers and tablets and touch-screen phones. They're all Studio Ghibli/Miyazaki addicts.

But we also try to keep things simple and handmade where we can.

I think it's all about intention.

Also, the knitting? You can do it - really! It's just following instructions. And if you get stuck - Google and YouTube have saved my butt more than once. Would you believe that I've only been knitting for about two years?
