I ordered some amber beads from Amber4You on Etsy. They arrived the other day and I've already thrown them together for the Beast. Can you believe that no one local sells amber teething jewelry? And they're so very expensive online. I understand why, though. Stringing those things was tough and I gave up on putting knots between each bead. Regardless, I'm pretty pleased with it.

I mailed my packages for the Artful Stone Swap hosted by GardenMama. I went back and forth with myself about posting pictures before my swaps were received. In the end I decided that if I didn't post it now, I'd forget and never post it. So here it is.

I couldn't resist these little guys peeking out of their pods.

And the longies are still in progress. With luck I'll finish them before he's out of diapers.

I've been working on this post since last night! Whew. Today I went to another breastfeeding support meeting and a class about starting solids. Now I need to catch up on comments, bake some bread, whip up some hummus, and get to knitting!
We just received our rock today and LOVE it! He's sitting on our nature table taking a nap right now.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!!
Maria: Oh! I'm so glad it got to you safely. They were lots of fun to make. (:
ReplyDeleteoh.my.the stones are INCREDIBLE!!! I'm so excited to receive yours and for you to receive mine! : )
ReplyDeleteSO CUTE!
ReplyDeleteI am also plugging away at some longies...ahhhhhh....they take forever:)
I'd love to do a swap with you sometime, lovely lady....
Nicole: Why, thank you! That's an extreme compliment coming from such a talented soul! (:
ReplyDeleteBending Birches: If I could just knit and leave all the decorative stitches out, I think I could just pop these puppies out pretty quickly. Of course, I'm winging it on sizes, though. My six month old wears his two-year-old brother's 4t shirts.. if that tells you anything. (:
And swaps - any time! Any. Time! (:
It came, it came! What beauty and I love the ideas of your stories. The orange will be such a cheerful sight during the cold days ahead. Thank you so very much! I had meant to post mine but of course I completely forgot to take pictures. Oh well. :)
ReplyDeleteLynnette: I just got yours today, too! I love it - it is special beyond words! Once I receive all of the stones I'm going to take a photo of them together and write a blog post. Thank you so much for the lovely, lovely sentiments behind your creation. (:
ReplyDeleteCool stuff! x
