A Friday ritual inspired by Soulemama. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment to pause, savor and remember.
These two moments were nigh simultaneous.
(The Beast tries to suck his thumb and nurse at the same time. It's adorable. And completely counterproductive.)
happy birthday to your little one! haha! my little guy used to try to suck his thumb and nurse, too! so funny!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to swap with you sometime....and those little dolls are so cute..i am planning trying to to make one soon, too....maybe we could swap those sometime? :):)
Fun silliness!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I haven't had anyone try that, yet, but I do have them suck their thumbs until the very second before latch, then the very second after the meal! So crazy. :)
ReplyDeleteBending Birches: I'd love to swap - any time! It may take a bit of time to make something, but I'm okay with that.
ReplyDeleteWoolandChocolate: The Beast is the first of my kids to suck his thumb as an infant. The Imp sometimes does now (he'll be two on Monday) but nothing like what the Beast does. In fact, as I type this he's sucking his thumb while watching B eat his lunch! (:
I too had a thumb-sucking nursling in my first son. So funny. Also, whenever he touched a soft item (animal- real or plush)he would pop his thumb into his mouth. Not cuz I have hairy breasts or anything. It was so adorable to see, and your moment brought me right back to those decade-old memories. Thank you :-)
ReplyDeleteWabi-Sabi: Glad I could bring you warm-fuzzies. (:
ReplyDeleteThat's really funny! Thanks for sharing x
