Yarn Along

Joining up with Ginny (well, her husband I guess) for the Yarn Along.

Reading The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon. Or at least, I was when I took this photograph a few hours ago. I have since finished it and am excited to start the next book in the series. Last week I was working on bombs for the Elf's Legend of Zelda bomb bag. I've finished it all and am mostly pleased with it. The colors aren't true to the game, nor is the shape of the bag exactly. But I hope he'll like it all anyway.

And now I'm off to spin more yarn!

  1. This is just entirely too awesome. Do you have a pattern for the bombs or were you just winging it? I read back a ways to see if I just missed it, but I didn't see it. I think my littlest (actually both) would really like this. I think my Christmas list just got a little longer.

    1. I'm going to add this to my ravelry page later today. I used the nose of a pig doll (by Emily of yarnmiracle.com - but the pattern isn't available to buy yet) for the top of the bomb and then *mostly* followed the ball part (with altered numbers) from this pattern: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/bomb

      Hope that helps! (:

  3. I have never knitted a bomb bag, but I did make a Link hat out of a LOT of felt. The things we do for our kids.
